He lives in a wonderful care home
my former colleague
I visit him regularly
he has dementia
but
fortunately
he remembers everything from his past
so when I am with him
we exchange words and memories
from the past to the present
our now
even though the real now speeds by
over the horizon
we happily share old stories
and then we say our goodbyes
laughing
until the next time
